I had the pleasure of interviewing a Congolese-led organization dedicated to aid, lobbying, mobilization, development, culture, and the history of the Democratic Republic of Congo. 🇨🇩
The DRC is currently experiencing one of the worst displacement crises in the world, with 6.5 million people displaced and over 25.4 million in need of assistance.
Forty thousand children, some as young as six, work in conditions that no human should ever endure.
The DRC ranks among the five poorest countries globally, primarily due to ongoing imperial exploitation and violence in the region related to the land's natural resources.
Currently, 7 million Congolese have been compelled to excavate due to the continuous expansion of industrial companies, which could violate adequate housing rights under the International Human Rights Law.
